yesterday
we had a nice day in the city yesterday.
we got new lanterns at pearl river that actually worked…
drank 2 pots of green tea each there as well…
looked at classic nike sneakers at this cool spot off broadway…
ate malaysian food at this great little place in the secret alley way in chinatown
AND ate nyc’s best ice cream from “chinatown’s best ice cream”...

Went to Pearl River today and got a bunch of cool shit!
I love that store! It’s right next to my other all time favorite store- Yellow Rat Bastard. Bought mad stuff- really pretty chinese knick knack things. Here’s the list:

so i saw this movie last night- cat people. i was weary at first, the title is kind of misleading- although that’s what the movie is obviously about- but anyway, it turned out to be a really awesome movie for several reasons.
it was a bit campy/culty- more cult than anything. boris told me many vampire freakaziods like this one and i can see why.

read a lot today. and yesterday. i am up to chapter 6 of ulysses. it reminds me of reading shakespeare- where the beginning always seems so much more difficult than it actually is- and after continued reading, it becomes familiar, easier.
it is depressing though. reading the chapter where all the men previously dissected are going to a funeral- are at a funeral- the ups and downs in and out of...
